New Staffers of the school publication, "The Scholar", take their oath of office

        January 4 marked a significant day for 21 students of Kolehiyo ng Subic as they took their oath of office, officially becoming the new Staffers of the school publication, “The Scholar”.

        Mayor Jonathan Khonghun officiated the oath-taking which was held in his Office at the Subic Municipal Hall.

        The new team of campus journalists who took their oath were the following : Editor-in-Chief Glydellean Kerr (who is a 3rd Year BSBA Operations Management student); Associate Editor Joy Sixta Adto (a 3rd Year BSED Social Studies student), Managing Editor Jela Mae Corpuz (1st Year BS Computer Science student), News Editor Chrizthel Kisha Omrog (1st Year BEED), Sports Editor Margareth Delgado (1st Year BEED), Feature Editor Nicole Anne Azulis (1st Year BS Accountancy), Filipino Section Editor Daniel Tolentino (1st Year BSED Filipino), Senior News Writer Donald Reyes (1st Year BSA), Layout Designer Rayden Ramos (1st Year BSCS), Layout Designer Edwin Rei Ibabao (1st Year BSA), News Writer Grace Ann Fernandez (1st Year BSA), News Writer Mickel Dela Cruz (1st Year BSED), News Writer Kim Fabros (1st Year BSED), News Writer Princess Ericka Cruz (1st Year BSED), Layout Designer Raylwyn Gabrito (1st Year BSED), Editorial Cartoonist Jester Visda (1st Year BSCS), Photo Journalist Denisse Cabanizas (1st Year BSED Filipino), Photo Journalist Jasmine Maribojoc (1st Year BSED Filipino), Photo Journalist Althea Janine Bautista (1st Year BS Hospitality Management), and Photo Journalist Ronalyn Dista (1st Year BSHM).

     In his message, Mayor Khonghun assured  the Staffers of his full support and assistance to the school publication.

    The oath-taking was witnessed by the College President, Dr. Rosely Agustin, and College Administrator Mr. Juan Deveraturda, who also serves as Head Adviser of the school publication.

    Another Adviser, Ms. Renzie Macariola, also graced the occasion, together with Mr. Josua Amante and Ms. Judith Pasustento, both of whom serve as trainers and coaches of the Staffers. All three are respected Instructors of Kolehiyo ng Subic.

    The oath-taking ceremony reaffirms the Staffers’ commitment to their roles as truth seekers and purveyors of inspiring and positive news. The team is excited to move forward, embracing the challenges and responsibility that come with their new role as campus journalists.

     In a recent development, Fernandez has been appointed the new Sports Editor, replacing Delgado who resigned due to family concerns.
