A significant milestone for Kolehiyo Ng Subic and the Municipality of Subic was marked on January 23, 2023, as the institution, under the leadership of College President Dr. Rosely H. Agustin, formally entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Hon. Mayor Jonathan John F. Khonghun at the Subic Municipal Hall. The signing highlights KNS’s continuing commitment to community-centered education and its proactive efforts to expand opportunities for professional and academic advancement among government employees through innovative programs such as the Government Employees Upgrading Program (GEEUP).

Central to this partnership is the Government Employees Upgrading Program (GEEUP)—a flagship program of Kolehiyo Ng Subic developed through the visionary leadership of Dr. Rosely H. Agustin. Guided by her mission to bring education closer to the people and uplift communities, GEEUP provides government employees the opportunity to pursue their college diploma while continuing their public service. Through this program, employees can work in the morning and attend classes in the evening, ensuring that education is accessible without compromising their livelihood.

Implemented under the Community Extension Services Office (CESO), GEEUP embodies KNS’s commitment to community empowerment through education. It reflects a shared belief among KNS leadership and LGU Subic that an educated workforce creates a stronger, more efficient, and more compassionate public service sector.

Present during the MOA Signing were the signatories themselves, joined by Ms. Ro Ann Dinulong, Human Resource Management Officer (HRMO), the Kolehiyo Ng Subic Executive Committee, and members of CESO, whose collaboration has been pivotal in turning this program into a reality.

During the ceremony, Mayor Khonghun expressed his strong support for initiatives that promote employee development, noting that investing in people leads to more effective governance. Dr. Agustin, on the other hand, reaffirmed KNS’s commitment to programs that bridge educational gaps and open life-changing opportunities for working individuals.

The MOA Signing marks a meaningful step forward for both LGU Subic and Kolehiyo Ng Subic. Through GEEUP, government employees are not only given a chance to upgrade their professional qualifications but are also empowered to pursue personal growth and serve the community with greater competence and confidence.

With this partnership, Subic takes yet another stride toward building a future where education is a right, an opportunity, and a pathway to collective progress.
